BANKING LOKPAL (OMBUDSMAN) KARNATAKA TOLL FREE NUMBER COMPLAINT GUIDELINES

Banking ombudsman is a relief of a user when he did not get any satisfactory solution of his problem from the bank. Most of the time it is seen that many customers have been complaining about the failed transactions, the amount deducted, slow crediting of the amount and many more different types of issues. If a user has problem with these he/she can approach to the higher authority of the bank but still if the user is not getting his issue solved, then he can write his problem to the banking ombudsman.

RBI BANKING LOKPAL KARNATAKA

Banking Ombudsman is known as Banking Lokpal in Hindi who looks into the customer’s problems without anyone’s interference. You can write or approach to Banking Lokpal if you are not satisfied with the bank’s response or you didn’t receive any response from the bank within a period of 30 days. BANKING LOKPAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

Reserve Bank of India has shaped a set of rules and regulations that every customer has to keep in mind while filing a complaint, otherwise, they may even reject the application. Some basic rules and regulations to file a complaint are:-

1 . You can file an online complaint or a written complaint.

  1. The complaint at Banking Lokpal can only be registered after minimum 30 days from the date of filing a complaint in the concerned bank.
  2. Your application can only be accepted by Banking Lokpal if you have first approached the concerned bank in written regarding the issue.
  3. You can only complain to banking Lokpal if you filed a complaint within a year from the date of receipt of complaint file in the concerned bank.
  4. Don’t forget to attest all the necessary details related to bank account and issues, as all these information is asked by Banking Lokpal to investigate the case.
  5. You can also upload your proofs online in pdf or txt file only.

    Sir/Madam,
    I have a complaint to be filed against icici bank.The reason is the bank has issued a credit card in my name in May2011 and they have closed it in May 2017.I neither has an account in icici bank nor I had applied for a credit card to icici bank. on enquir4y with the customer care of icici bank ,they are not giving me any details and they are treating me as an untouchable even after several email conversations.I am afraid that some fraud must have been committed by the bank.I am already 64 years old .kindly advise me the3 procedure and ways of complaint and remedy.
