HIMACHAL PRADESH BANKING LOKPAL (OMBUDSMAN) ADDRESS COMPLAINT GUIDELINES

If you are an account holder in any bank and having difficulty to access or functioning your account like money deducted from the account or failed transactions or money not credited or UPI related issues or anything, you can complain to the branch manager or higher authorities if branch manager is not getting your problem like nodal officer, regional officer etc but if all these higher authorities are not in the mood for listening to your issues, you can go to the banking ombudsman.

Banking Ombudsman OR Banking Lokpal is the department appointed by Reserve bank of India to look account holder’s issue related to the respective bank in the banking sector. Nobody can interrupt the processing of Banking Ombudsman and the response given by it, the decision of banking ombudsman is final and cannot be changed. BANKING LOKPAL GUIDELINES

RESERVE BANK OF INDIA has given authority to look into the issues of people but there some set of guidelines which a customer has to follow while filing a complaint. The rules are as follows:

1. As soon as the period of 30 days is completed from the date of the complaint, he/she can approach Banking Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with the response from the bank One has to first write to the concerned bank before approaching Banking Ombudsman.
