COMPLAINT PHASES IN CANARA BANK UPI

Canara UPI is the application launched by Canara Bank to support their customers in today’s digital world. Through this application you can make your payments, can accept payments and much more. As this application is new, you might face few issues in operating it, in that case, you can make full use complaint box to solve your issues. Complaints may be about:-

1. ATM issues
2. Swipe machine
3. Payment declined
4. UPI issues

 There are various steps involved in resolving the problem.

CANARA BANK UPI TOLL-FREE NUMBER

At the initial stage, you call to the toll-free number or file your complaint online or walk to your respective branch and file a complaint there. So that the Branch Manager becomes aware of your problem. Submit all the documents related your complaint in the Branch. Also, if you are calling to the toll-free number of the bank, keep all the documents related to your query near you as all the details will be asked for the customer care during the call. The Bank will take around 3-4 working days to process your complaint. The toll-free number of the Canara Bank UPI is mentioned below:

CONSULT CANARA BANK UPI NODAL OFFICER

If you are not satisfied with the response of the Branch manager or doesn’t get any reply within 2-3 working days, you can make use of the next level. You can write to the Bank’s Nodal Officer in the next phase. The Canara Bank Nodal Officer will process according to your request and give you a valuable feedback within 15-20 woking days. BANKING OMBUDSMAN

Time taken by the Bank in the above procedure is 30 days. In case if 30 days are exceeded or the reply is not satisfactory, you can write to Banking Ombudsman to look into your matter. Banking Ombudsman office is located in the capital of each state. Banking Ombudsman is known as Banking Lokpal by the people in Hindi. Banking Lokpal is appointed by Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

    I used UPI on 17th Feb 2017 for transaction of account but due to some reason the transaction was decline but money was debited from my respective account which is still not credited to my account.

    Since 17th Feb 2017 i have been enquring for the same in home branch. Bank personnel have lodge the complain and awaiting for the reply. case id: 01270015

    • Hello Rasif,

      As you told that you have already complained bank but they are not responding. So we request you to lodge your complaint in written to bank and even then if they don’t respond then you can lodge the complaint with banking lokpal. Please tell us your city and state.

My name is Manoj I have an account in canara bank{Acc no. 32xxxxxx06646} and i have done a transaction through UPI APP {CANARA BANK} on 24th March 2017 at 10:43AM AND 10:45AM TWO TRANSACTION OF RS.10000 each but the amount was not credited to beneficiary account but the amount is debited from my account both time.       Before you go to banking lokpal for a complaint, there are a few important points to remember. Kindly note the following key notes ;

        Before Approaching Banking lokpal, report the issue in written to the concerned bank either by email or letter
        You should wait at least 30 days after filing written complaint to bank before you approach banking lokpal
        You should have a complaint number issued by bank to your complaint before you approach banking lokpal
        Gather all the proofs of your claim to be present if asked by Ombudsman
        You can upload your proof after filling the Complaint Form, which should be only pdf or txt

      Please ask the bank officials for the complaint number of your complaint and use it for further reference and report the issue to higher bank officials. You can also complaint the same to bank’s official Toll free complain number.

      Please Report this issue immediately to the canara bank complaint toll free number ; 1800 425 1906,
      1800 425 0018 since in case of failed transaction canara bank will be solely responsible for the refund.

  13. I transfered 50,000/-rs using canara bank empower app through upi . Amount was not credited to the beneficiary. I have given compliant in canara bank grivances sytem and “it says complaint resolved and closed”.but i didnt got money back or not credited into the beneficiary account .what should i do.should i complaint in bank lokpal.
    I have given complaint in home branch, but bank manager is not giving the complaint number and saying that he cannt take complaints about digital transcations.

I ordered to worth rs 28000 from Flipkart by using Canara bank upi app but nor the money received by Flipkart nor credit to my account even I received a msz a of credit to some other account no with upi reference no but money is not credit to my account I account the bank they say we dnt have any information about ds wat to do now

      Please Note that in case of failed transaction, The Bank from which the money is deducted is responsible for refunds as according to BHIM T&C Clause No. 6.1, NPCI is not responsible for refunds. So kindly report the issue immediately to the bank and get the complaint number and save it for future reference. As even after your complaint Bank is not responding properly or Staff misbehaves, Kindly complaint this to the Banking Lokpal given on this website.

      As per the UPI Procedural Guidelines issued by NPCI, failed transaction debited money should be dealt by the PSP/ Bank, NPCI is not responsible for the refunds. Kindly contact your bank immediately and report the issue in written and get the complaint number for further assistance. If in case your problem doesn’t get resolved in 30 working or days or you are not satisfied with bank’s reply then you can further escalate the issue to the RBI Banking Lokpal of your state. All the Banking Lokpal addresses for each state is given here kindly Refer.
