WEST BENGAL BANKING LOKPAL COMPLAINT GUIDELINES OMBUDSMAN ADDRESS

All the bank account holders in the West Bengal can approach to the Banking Ombudsman, which is a free body that looks into the grievances related to banking. Few times it is observed that you got stuck into some issues like canceled transaction or failed money transfer or amount deducted or any other bank related issues and you are asked to complain to the concerned bank. But what if you are not satisfied with the response or you haven’t received any response from the bank in a reasonable period. In all these situations one independent body rescue you that is Banking Ombudsman.

RBI BANKING OMBUDSMAN (LOKPAL) WEST BENGAL

Banking Ombudsman commonly known as Banking Lokpal (लोकपाल) in Hindi, is a scheme appointed by reserve bank of India to look into your issues independently without anyone’s interference. You can approach Banking Ombudsman if you are not satisfied with the bank’s response or you haven’t received any response from the Bank within 30 days. The People of West Bengal can approach to their Banking Lokpal office irrespective of cities as only one Lokpal is appointed for the whole one state. BANKING LOKPAL COMPLAINT GUIDELINES

To get your grievances redressed, you must follow the set of guidelines formed by Banking Ombudsman. These guidelines are as follows:-

  1. Report to the concerned Bank in written about your complaint.
  2. Wait for minimum 30 days for the Bank’s response regarding your complaint.
  3. Submit the complaint number along with all the necessary details like account number, proofs of complaint etc to the Banking Ombudsman as all these will be required to investigate the case.
  4. You can also fill the online complaint form and upload the proofs in pdf and txt format only.
